(OFFICIAL NEWS LETTER OF MI-SOL OWNERS ASSOCIATION LTD.)
SPRING 1975
Dear Mi-Solite,
This is the first edition of your new look Newsletter from your new-look Council (Committee) — bringing the news from us to you. In this and future Newsletters you will be kept up to date of the current situation at MI-SOL, and from now onwards there will be regular quarterly editions of these Newsletters appearing Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Each Newsletter will contain important information from your elected council officers meeting in council in London every month. There will also be news of regional meetings which are being held regularly up and down the country — meetings which you are encouraged to attend in your area. Contact your local area organiser or a member of the main council for further details.
Here follows the various reports from the officers of the Association.
Yours truly,
BRIAN TURNER - Public Relations Officer.
Report from the President, Jack Meads,
"Meadsacre", 18 St. Agnes Road, Billericay, Essex. Tel: Basildon 42804
Since your present council was formed its members have applied themselves unceasingly to the problems that confront MI-SOL and I am pleased to be able to report that we are beginning to make headway. It is our intention, subject to legal advisability that no action or decision taken by your Council be secret. The minutes of our meetings will be sent to the regional and area organisations and these will make them available to all members at their 'get-togethers'. There is not space in this Newsletter to describe in detail the multitudinous points that have been attended to. The ramifications of every decision made and action taken are extensive. In this issue you will be receiving information from the officers of the Association; however, I would bring to your attention the general position.
The legal position of the Association must be resolved and in order to achieve this we must be registered both in the U.K. and in Spain. The memorandum and articles of association have now been prepared, they have been signed by the members of the Council and the registration of the Association as a "Company Limited by Guarantee and not having a Share Capital" is now taking place. Solicitors have been appointed, these are Underwood & Co., 40 Welbeck Street, London, W.1. In addition legal contact has been made in Spain and we shall be pressing forward with registration there. Until this is obtained we are confronted with insoluble problems, such as obtaining work permits.
A considerable effort has been put in on the problems of the bonded caravans. We have approached the Authorities through all available channels and aided by the Vice Consul we have arrived at the position as outlined later. At the same time the Insurance situation has now been resolved.
There has been continuous application to the maintenance and development of MI-SOL. Since this is the 'raison d'etre' of the association this is obviously our primary concern. I can only say at this time that it is our intention that this should be all that we would wish. After much discussion and after seeking the advice of the Association the Council has not been able to renew the contract of the Manager, Mr. Roland Gasser at the end of the probationary year. The post is being advertised in both the U.K. and Spanish press. Any member interested in the position for himself is, of course, invited to contact Joe Whitty, the Site Controller.
The collapse of Bondbridge has presented the Association and its members with many problems. However, we have been assured by Sr. Quesada that, as vendor, he has primary responsibility for the project and our negotiations with him are continuing. He has indicated his appreciation of our position and has expressed the wish that we can work together to obtain a mutual solution.
Overall there has been the shadow of the impossibility of doing any of these things unless we can overcome the financial crisis we faced on appointment. In spite of all our efforts there are still a number of members who refuse to meet their commitments, I must appeal to these to have the common sense to realise that they are imperilling all who have a stake in MI-SOL and this includes themselves. In this connection, in view of the representations made to us by
A flourishing palm tree

many members including the regional motions, we recommend the revoking of the motion taken at the A.G.M. and the continuation of the present scale of subscription and occupation fees until the next A.G.M. However, it must be appreciated that with the present rate of inflation and all our commitments it may be impossible to maintain this standstill and some increase must be envisaged then.
The council has been most encouraged by the response given by the regional organisations. With the exception of the Northern Region, these have held and are holding meetings, as given later in the "Reports from the Regions" section. These meetings have been virtually self-supporting financially. Many of the members have contributed in services, food and finance in order to make this so. The Council have held a Forum at these meetings and has given factual and truthful answers to all questions, in addition to imparting information. More importantly they have received the feedback of information, opinions and the wishes of the members. Further they have provided a vehicle by which the Treasurer has been able to collect the funds that are the life blood of the Association.
In conclusion, I would wish to end on an optimistic note and assure all that we are beginning to see the light and are looking forward to seeing the sun at MI-SOL.
Report from the Secretary, Angela Oatridge,
MTSS, 431MU, R.A.F. Bruggen, B.F.P.0.42, Germany
Thank you for the prompt return of the tear-off slips showing what you have on your plot, and if you were insured, if you are one of the few who has not yet returned their slips please do so by return. I enclose a copy at the bottom of this letter.
Many of you will have paid sums of money to Bondbridge over the past twelve months for the options offered by Mr. Quesada. If you have done so and the money has been lost when Bondbridge went into liquidation please can you let me have the details. I will need to know:
(a) the amount paid,
(b) date paid,
(c) what option was taken, giving numbers of plots, etc.
When I have all the information I will write to Mr. Quesada. It will be much better if he has one letter, than dozens of odd ones.
In spite of all the set-backs we seem to have, I have great faith in your committee, who I know really have all members' interest at heart, and although at times you may feel that you do not approve of certain decisions, I can assure you that much thought and time is spent before any major decision is made.
I am looking forward to meeting many of you again at MI-SOL this year.

At the risk of repeating what I am sure some of the other Committee members will also be saying in their reports, may I say how pleased I am by the response of the members.
Both I, and the other members of the committee have received dozens of letters from members asking for help or guidance to their problems. Many, I am pleased to say, we have been able to help. What is more to the point, is that we have been able to revive your interest in MI-SOL, because you now know that something is being done to make MI-SOL a viable and prosperous undertaking.
Many of you have responded to our invitations to attend the Regional Meetings, where you have met us and discussed your problems with us. You have had your questions answered straight and honestly. We have not tried to hide from you the problems that we are faced with.
One fact, however, is now emerging; things are now looking up in our favour.
Many of you have responded to our Treasurer's appeal, and paid your dues, which has helped greatly. This is the confidence that we appreciate, and we will do our best to justify it.
I expect Jack Mead (our President) in his letter will have told you we are now registered in this country as an Association. This standing will help us a great deal in our future negotiations. Our next step is to get registered in Spain.
A Solicitor has now been appointed to act on behalf of the Association.
Letters have gone out to the Authorities in Spain with regard to the Bonded Caravans, and representation has been made personally. At the moment the signs are very favourable. The British Consulate at Alicante has also been seen, and is now doing all he can to help us.
We have heard from Sr Quesada, and a meeting has been arranged with him and the Site Controller, Mr. Whitty. He too, (Sr Quesada) is seeming to be a lot more helpful and co-operative, and we are in hopes of a better understanding with him.
So you will see, a lot of work has been done, and a lot more still has to be done, before we can all enjoy the fruits of our labours.
I appeal to you to continue to give us your support and confidence.

I now have complete lists of owners who have insured through the Association, including a further list of those owners who placed their insurance through Roland Gasser. There are 17 names in all, some of those owners have now duplicated their insurance. This I am endeavouring to rectify. I shall be writing to these 17 people in question to notify them of the premium due. The policys will be forwarded to them when the premium has been paid. Any owner failing to receive a policy and he feels he has been missed, contact me immediately.
Report from the Chairman of Eastern Region
The first meeting of the MI-SOL Owners' Association (Eastern Region) took place at Burgh Hall, Egrgh Castle, Great Yarmouth on Sunday, 26th January, 1975.
Forty-four members were present.
Mr. J. Brown welcomed the members, and thanked them for taking the trouble to give up their free time to attend, several members having travelled long distances. Apologies were received from a number of members in the Midlands area. Various reasons were given for non-attendance, the main one being the distance to travel, lack of public transport, etc. It was suggested that Regional Sub-Committees be set up in Birmingham, Coventry and Leicester areas, the object being to minimise travel. Information could then be channelled from the main Committee through the Regional Committees to these subcommittees and vice-versa. Mr. Brown promised to contact members in the Midlands with the view of setting up these sub-committees.
The President, Mr. Jack Mead, gave the members up to date information and told them that he was shortly to visit Mi-Sol. It was stressed that finance was a very important factor in the running of the site. We have limited cash in the kitty but as site owners, we have a collective responsibility to ensure that we can meet our financial liabilities. An appeal was made to members who had not already done so to pay the fees for 1974/75 and the £20.00 levy. Several members paid immediately and others promised to forward their fees on to the Treasurer.
Mr. Ivan Myall then gave the meeting the current financial position. His records show that the actual
site owners number 393, of which 330 have paid the 1974/5 fees; 63 members are still not paid up, and 223 x £20.00 levies are still outstanding. Mr. Myall will also be visiting Mi-Sol on Saturday, 8th February, 1975, where he has meetings arranged with various Spanish Authorities.

Report from the Chairman of Easter Region, continued ...
Mr. Sid Beales gave the meeting up-to-date information on his negotiations with Insurance Companies. Mr. J.R. Beales (Southern Area Organisation) gave the meeting a report on the South Area meeting which was well attended.
After the committee members had each given the members a run down on their activities to date, the President, Mr. Jack Mead suggested that we run an open Forum for the rest of the afternoon. Numerous questions were put to the committee from the floor of the meeting, and the general atmosphere was one of friendly co-operation and appreciation of the hard work being put in by the new committee.
I got the feeling that the meeting was a success, and members went home happy in the thought that at last we are treating the MI-SOL investment as a business, and only by us all pulling together for the common good can we achieve our aims.
Refreshments were served, and the meeting broke up at 5.30 p.m.
Report from the Chairman of Southern Region
The first meeting of the Southern Area was held on the 18.1.1975 at the Islington Methodist Mission, Holloway, London, N.7.
This was very well attended by over 100 people. Also in attendance were Mr. Mead (President), Mr. Myall (Treasurer), Mr. Nicholls (Asst. Secretary), Mr. Beale (Insurance & Welfare) and Mr. Douglas (Controller Asst.).
The prime reason for the meeting was to break down the Southern Region into smaller areas, to improve communications and reduce travelling by members to regional meetings. This was suggested to the meeting and left there, to be resolved after being addressed by the committee members. The chair was then taken by the President, and after he and the other members of the committee had given the current state of affairs about MI-SOL, were bombarded with questions about various subjects. It seems that the main problem of the association is finance and after this was explained by the treasurer the response was incredible. £345 was paid to the treasurer for outstanding levies and fees. I think that this proves that when the members are kept informed of the facts, which they have never been before, they will respond and this will ensure that MI-SOL will be a success.
After the break for refreshments, the meeting then discussed the setting up of sub-areas and this was accepted. There are now three areas with organisers in each area who make up the Southern Region Committee.
Areas in Southern Region:
London, North of Thames J.R. Beels,
Essex Ashcroft,
Middlesex South Hanningfield Road,
Herts Rettendon, Chelmsford, Essex
Bucks

Report from the Chairman of Southern Region Area
A Southern Area meeting of the MI-SOL Owners' Association was held in Worthing on the 9-2-75. The Meeting was arranged by Mr. John Warren and Alan Reeks. Fifty-nine plot owners who live in Sussex, Hants, and Berks, were invited to the meeting. Twenty-five plot owners attended this meeting and sixty-one people were present. We were all pleased that the meeting was attended by four members of the main committee, Mr. H.J. Mead, Mr. I. Myall, Mr. S. Beale, Mr. A. Nichols and Mr. J. Beels, the Southern Area Organiser.
Mr. I. Myall and Mr. S. Beale who had just returned from Mi-Sol gave the meeting the up-to-date position at Mi-Sol. Many questions were asked at this meeting and answered by the committee. This meeting was a success and we shall be holding more meetings. We hope to hold our next meeting in Hants, in April. We also wish the best of luck to all the people who are arranging meetings in the other areas. The cost of our meeting including the Hall, Raffle, Postage and Refreshments was £28.00. From the catering and Raffle we collected £24.00 and £4.00 was given to us by the committee. If anybody living outside of Sussex, Hants and Berks find it easier to attending meetings in this area please let me know and I can advise you of meetings in this area. During visits to Mi-Sol we have heard many rumours about Mi-Sol, so feel that it is most important for all members to attend the Area Meetings and learn the true facts about Ml-SOL.
It was proposed by Mr. Harding (Plot 500) seconded by Mr. Grace (Plot 537) that there be:
A single association fee for all members and occupancy fees, with details to be worked out by the committee. Plot owners only voted and it was carried by 24 for and 0 against.
This proposal was made after a lot of discussions had taken place about the finances of our association. I feel that if we want the committee to do a good job for us, then we at least must give them the finances to do so.

Amongst you are some who are not aware that on signing the "Instrument of Purchase and Sale" that you are committed to the Association. Therefore, I will quote from a translation of the contract "He will contribute in accordance with the percentage of his plot, to the general expenses for the adequate upkeep of the site, its services, levies, charges and responsibilities which are not liable for individualization."

Financial Year, 1st April 1975 - March 1976
A green membership card will be required to enter MI-SOL from the 1st April. This will not be issued until all back dues are paid including the £20 levy agreed upon at the last A.G.M. This extra £20 was due to escalation of costs in maintaining the site and all its services.
All yearly contributions are to be paid in the U.K., except full time residents, these will be paid to the Site Manager. Fees to be paid by April at the latest.
With fees please state number of plot and whether you have applied for registration of Deeds in the U.K. or Spain. Cheques to be made payable to "Mi-Sol Owners Association' , and plot number on the back. Enclose stamped addressed envelope for receipt and membership card.
Friends or clients using your property will require a written permit with your card number sent in advance to the Manager.
Many paid up owners have written to me expressing their concern in subsidising those that put everyone's investment at risk. Your Committee is determined that this situation will not continue, and have sought legal advice in recovering dues which are outstanding to the Association.
Report of MI-SOL Site Controller, Joe Whitty,
1 The Green, H.M. Borstal, Lowdham Grange, Lowdham, Notts.
Tel: 0607-45291
I have recently returned from two weeks at MI-SOL and would inform the membership of the situation as I left it on 15.2.75.
In company with Mr. Myall, I confirmed with the Manager, that his contract would not be renewed and it was further agreed that it was in everyone's interest for him to leave the site. Mr. Gasser will receive all monies due to him up to the end of his contract date.
I took charge of the site and have seen a number of Senior Officials in Spain and the following agreements and concessions have been arrived at. The following will apply at MI-SOL in future, because if they do not, in my opinion the park will have to be closed. It is my intention to provide at MI-SOL an organisation which will be run strictly within Spanish Law, and according to the statutes for the best interest of the whole membership.
This will mean that every individual cannot do as they please at MI-SOL and must conform to rules of good management so that there is a good quality of life for permanent residents and holiday makers.
1) You will find on arrival that you will be required to be checked in and your identity checked by passport in the normal way. If not done on arrival it will be done as soon as possible afterwards. This is a requirement of Spanish Law. Anyone refusing the check will be refused admission and referred to the Guardia Order for identity check. The Police have informed us that this is a managerial responsibility which we should have been doing.
Page 6
Report of Mi-Sol Site Controller, continued ...
2) Bonded Caravans. All vans must be bonded on arrival in Spain. They must be unbonded each time they are used at the earliest possible time. I saw the Head of Customs and they have agreed to the following. May I say the Customs have been most helpful:
(a) It is hoped to provide inbonding facilities in Torrevieja.
(b) It will now NOT be necessary for you to have your car with you to use your van.
(c) In the near future all owners of vans bearing PRECINTO or PRECINTADO labels will be contacted by letter through the British Embassy. Every owner of a van will be given the option of paying duty, based on value of van and age, or removing the van from Spain. If neither of these options are taken up the van will be confiscated and sold by the Customs.
The Customs have also stated that NO vans will be removed from the site without permission. If this happens the site will be closed. The owner is also liable to imprisonment and fine. This has already happened to one owner elsewhere in Spain and the Management of MI-SOL have agreed to contact the Police should any vans be moved. I know we only prevented a van being moved off site on 15.2.75, after informing the Police.
Voluntary Work. I saw the Head of the Tourist Board and they have agreed that we can do voluntary work for normal maintenance, gardening, etc. I hope you will all offer while you are on site. I should like to thank the permanent residents who have worked during and since my stay to clean paths, cut grass, maintenance, etc., to make sure your holidays go well. This has meant hard work and I hope people will show their appreciation by being as considerate as possible to the facilities and controlling children. Some signs of vandalism are appearing and must be stopped. This again is a big move by the authorities who appreciate our difficulties. Having caravanned in England and Europe MI-SOL is still the best site I've been on — let's keep it that way!!
Vilesa Units. I regret to say that there is little at present we can do regarding non-delivery of units or items ordered and paid for which are not on site. This includes fridges and cookers. Vilesa are also victims of fraud it appears and have not received payment for many items so they will not provide them. This is a problem between individual members and Vilesa, but I would like to hear of any difficulties, to see where we might help.
Services. Water and Electricity is very expensive and will have to be curtailed. We have cut back where possible so please do not waste.
Senior Quasada. I had a long discussion with the site developer, who stated that it is his intention to finish the site to Tourist Board specification as soon as possible. This will include sewerage farm, doubling electrical power and provision of water filtration plant. I was promised work would start immediately and I can only hope Sr. Quesada will carry out his promise. It will be your committee to decide action if this is not done.
Deeds. A recent change in Spanish law has complicated this issue, but I hope the first deeds under the new law will have been finalised by issue of Newsletter. More news later.
Fire. The site is poorly equipped for equipment. Every person must have an extinguisher and I hope some equipment will be available this year. It is expensive and the best way to fight fire is to avoid it. The nearest Fire Brigade is Alicante, so we must be vigilant. I understand a number of persons are using too much equipment. This is a fire hazard and if you use electric cookers, etc., you will at some time either burn yourself or one of your family to death.
La Torretta. I have been asked for advice on the Bungalow project. Senor Quasada says it will be completed eventually but there are obviously difficulties and I heard of a number of distressing cases of money paid and no bungalows. I cannot advise you but should suggest caution.
Camp Administrator. My final task at MI-SOL was to appoint an Administrator to replace the Manager. It is my opinion that Mr. Frank Madeley is the ideal person and he has agreed to fill the position until it is advertised.
Mr. Madeley, as most will know, has an interest in the Bar/Restaurant. He has lived in Madrid and is bi-lingual, and has worked for many years in the Tourist Industry in Spain. Brought up in England he had a Grammar School Education and I ask you to support him in his difficult task. He will be directly accountable to myself and the Committee and has the full authority of the Committee within the regulations laid down in the estatutes. He will help you where he can, but I would emphasise his work is administering the site and this is his sole responsibility.
I will provide Mr. Madeley with an organisation of MI-SOL which he is now developing and the treasurer will provide book-keeping methods, etc. I ask you to give him your support.
Overall, MI-SOL will be ready for another season. Poor management has left some problems, but I would like again to thank permanent residents for their kindness and help. Mr. Ralph in particular has done much at MI-SOL to keep it alive.
Should any member be interested in the position of Site Manager and considers himself suitable, then please write to me and state your qualifications.
Report from the Public Relations & Entertainments Officer, Brian Turner,
"Tadegri", 14 Trevadlock Hall, Launceston, Cornwall. Tel: Coads Green 459 (S.T.D. 056-682459)
Following the regional meetings it has been made very clear to your council that the new charges of site fees as voted at the A.G.M. are not in accordance with your wishes. It has been decided in council, therefore, that as from 1st April, there will be a site fee of £40 per annum, regardless of whether the site is occupied by a caravan or chalet. There will also be an occupancy fee of 400 pesetas per week payable on arrival at MI-SOL This is a fixed charge per week, (holiday-makers and residents alike), i.e. 1 week and up to 3 days counts as 1 week — but 1 week and 4 days (up to 2 weeks, counts as 2 weeks, etc.) The fee of £40 is due on 1st April — and this money is needed and due on this date — so get your cheque books out and pay on or before this date, please. Don't leave it to others to pay on time, leaving yours 'til later. Everybody's money is needed promptly. In order to ensure that the new fees are acceptable to yourselves, a referendum is being taken amongst all the members. If you are OPPOSED to the new fees, complete the slip at the bottom of the last page of the Newsletter and return it to the Assistant Secretary, Alf. Nicholls.

Report of the Public Relations Officer, continued ...
In response to many requests from MI-SOL members, it has been decided to hold a 'Holiday Fortnight' at MI-SOL from 8th-22nd June. The idea of this is to encourage members, their wives and families to visit Mi-Sol during this period, when, if so desired, various entertainments will be laid on. So if you haven't decided when you're going to have your holidays at Mi-Sol decide now - 8th-22nd June and as many of you come to Mi-Sol as possible.
Throughout the summer, Roy and Carmen, who as you know run the Mi-Sol Bar/Restaurant, intend to organise various activities on a regular weekly basis, i.e. a Barbecue with a 'live' band and dancing and a 'disco' evening with dancing and a Bingo night (all entry fees to be returned as prizes). They also have a very competitive car hire service and have table tennis for you to play. They are also considering Bike and perhaps Deck-chair Hire if there is a demand — so if you want any of these items, let them know. There is also a Library Hire service available on the site — see Mrs. Ralph, Site No. 598.
John and Sheelagh Hall of site 91 have for your pleasure a fantastic yacht which is called, very appropriately, "Mi-Solite", and is moored at the Marina in Torrevieja Harbour, — "sails set and ready to go". They are running day trips (Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays) along the Mediterranean coast to a lovely port for a free chicken and champagne lunch on the yacht and swimming off the boat or just sunbathing on deck, as you like. The enclosed brochure tells all, and if you want any more brochures for your friends and guests who will be visiting Mi-Sol just drop a line to John Hall at Mi-Sol who will send you some. You may like to make your own bookings at the same time. The cost of only 1000 pesetas per head is amazing value and very reasonable. Incidentally, they are very generously giving 10% on all their bookings to the Association which it is hoped will bring in a more than useful revenue during the year. So for both your own sake as well as the Association's make your bookings now c/o Bar/Restaurant at Mi-Sol.
Roy and Carmen at the Bar/ Restaurant who are handling these bookings are doing this free of charge, of course, for the Association.
The Association, as well as intending to provide a children's playground (behind the Bar/restaurant) are considering a mini-golf course at the side of Reception, if there is a demand — so let us know if you think it is a good idea.
You may be interested to know that the cost of production of this Newsletter including printing and distribution, etc. is around £120 per issue. It has been suggested that sponsorships to cover the cost of each Newsletter would be a way of reducing (indirect) costs to members, i.e. £480 per annum, for 4 issues. The way it is envisaged is, for (example) a member who owns a business to sponsor a news sheet, i.e. pay £120 to cover the cost for which he and/or his own firm would have free and prominent advertising in that particular edition of the Newsheet, plus insertions, if desired, to go in the envelope when posted. Any offers, please.
You will all, no doubt, be very interested in the weather at Mi-Sol during April, May and June and I quote from information supplied for the Costa Blanca region for this period. The remaining months of the year will be given in laters Newsletters, of course.
In April, the average day temperature will be 70°F with 25 dry days. Spring is now in full bloom along the East coast of Spain. Temperatures will tend to climb during the month with colder spells becoming infrequent and less severe. By late April some very warm days are likely with temperatures up to 79°F or more. During April the average daily number of sunshine hours is 8-1 hours per day. It will be, therefore, warm, dry and sunny, i.e. ideal holiday weather. More active holidays are better now than later on in the summer, because the heat is not too great and the countryside is greener.
In May, the average day's temperature will be 75°F with 26 dry days. From this month onwards, the Mediterranean climate of hot, dry summer sets in. Towards the end of the month temperatures will be climbing up to 82°F above, so even in May normal weather in these parts is far more summery than anything normally experienced in Britain. Night temperatures will be higher, too, and the evenings in late May will be very pleasant. So for most of us this month will be ideal — very warm and hot at times, dry and very sunny. The average number of daily sunshine hours will be 9-7 hours per day.
In June, the average day temperature will be 81 °F with an average of 26 dry days during the month. The Mediterranean summer has arrived by June and will be found to be very warm or even hot by British standards. Evenings will tend to be warm also and you will be more concerned about the heat than any fall in temperature which may occur from time to time. The chief problem in June is that with an average of 11 -2 hours of intense sun per day, acclimatising oneself to the sun is vital - particularly at the start of the holiday. Do not forget your children who tend to play out in the sun all day. June, therefore, has an ideal holiday climate with plenty of sunshine, very warm and with most days dry. The occasional shower will give an opportunity for town shopping or other indoor pursuits which tend to be uncomfortable in normal heat.
Should any members have any 'sales' or 'wants' on the site or seats in cars to or from England available or wanted we shall be pleased to publish them, free of charge, in future editions of these Newsheets. For your guidance it is intended for the next Summer edition to appear Mid-June - Autumn edition Mid-September and Winter edition Mid-December.
This, the Spring edition, will be out by Mid-March, so all 'sales' and 'wants' by the 1st of that particular month, please.
An attractive scene

For only £1,100 you will be buying a 15-foot boat which will 'plane' at speed and is suitable for water ski-ing. Any trial, of course, in Torrevieja Harbour - see John Hall. There is a 20 h.p. Mercury outboard, attached, with remote controls, additional long-range fuel tank and many extras including anchor, fenders, rope, oil cans, speedometer and compass. Also Trailer with spare tyre and safety lock on engine (to the boat). This is an ideal family fun boat for picnics, swimming off the boat, sunbathing on deck or perhaps just to cruise out of Torrevieja Harbour to the open sea of the cool, clear blue Mediterranean to get awav from the heat and packed beaches. Please note English cheque accepted — or pay in pesetas, whichever currency you prefer.
To finish on a light hearted note, here are a few really bad jokes, — if you know any good ones for future Newsheets write and tell me, The worst ones will be printed! .....
"What's black and yellow and goes 'ZUB, ZUB, ZUB?" — A bee flying backwards.
"What's green and hairy and goes up and down?" - A gooseberry in a lift.
Or rather appropriately for Mi-Sol:
"He stood on the bridge at midnight,
Disturbing my sweet repose
